What is confirmed
The official gameplay trailer calls the Sift a new dimension in Minecraft Dungeons II. Mojang describes strange landscapes and powerful threats beyond the rifts. The September Minecraft LIVE recap also describes an interconnected world where rifts can lead there.
Launch and platform
Mojang announced September 29, 2026 as the game’s launch date. Dungeons II is a separate action RPG: owning or installing a Java Sift mod is not a way to enter its version of the dimension. Check the official game page for current regional availability.
Different from the Java mod
Mielon’s author states that the Java mod is an interpretation and not an exact replica. Its Ancient City note sequence belongs to that mod, not to Dungeons II.
