Announced: Mojang published the Dungeons II gameplay reveal and a September 29, 2026 launch date for that separate game. On September 29, its official game page still presented pre-order messaging when checked; regional availability is therefore not confirmed here.
Planned: Minecraft LIVE announced the Sift for Java and Bedrock in 2027. This is an official target, not a confirmed exact release day.
Unknown: Mojang has not given a Java or Bedrock month, snapshot or preview date, update number, or final feature list in the checked sources. No community mod release is evidence of the vanilla schedule.

The September 2026 Minecraft LIVE recap says the Sift is coming to both Minecraft Java and Bedrock “next year,” meaning 2027. It does not give a specific update number, snapshot date, or release day. Treat dates circulated elsewhere as unconfirmed unless Mojang publishes them.
Minecraft Dungeons II
Mojang announced September 29, 2026 for the separate game Minecraft Dungeons II. The official gameplay trailer identifies the Sift as its new dimension. Launch timing and store availability may differ by region, so use the official game listing for purchase or play status.
Playable community releases
A fan-made Java mod is already available from its author. Its release dates and Minecraft version numbers are listed in our version checker and do not predict the official vanilla release.
