The author’s sequence starts in the Ancient City center. A Goat Horn summons a Singer; its song awakens eight Sonorous Deepslate blocks. Place Note Blocks on those blocks, tune them, then play the specified melody to open the nearby portal.

Other behavior

The mod author says Singers can receive Soul Blocks carried by Echo Golems and react when given one. That creates a relationship between the portal creature, Soul Blocks, and the canyon-dwelling Echo Golem.
